A Young Person's Introduction to Life in Georgian Britain

This was originally intended to be the first in its series... until I discovered that there was a lot more material on the Regency and Victorian eras than on the 18th century :/  It's still rather scanty on artistic and religious movements, so if anyone knows of a good art history site, please let me know! An Overview of Life in 18th-Century North America

I would like credit for limiting myself to *only* six cooking videos by Townsends.  It was very difficult and I deserve a sticker.  Also, for some reason the virtual tour of the Irish farm needs to be watched at 1.25x normal speed; all the others seem fine. A Young Person's Introduction to Life in 18th-Century North America

British, Dutch, Spanish, French, Swedish, and German settlers colonized North America during the eighteenth century, sparking wars with the native peoples and one another over land rights and natural resources.  The slave trade became a massive multinational industry that brought wealth to landowners and merchants in North America, while depleting Africa's west coast of its laboring force. An Overview of 18th-Century Western Fashion

This post is meant to round out the "Young Person's Introduction" series with additional material that might be less engaging for a first-time viewer/reader.  It has lots of museum videos and articles, like Colonial Williamsburg and the Met, including some fun case studies (a banyan made from a dragon robe, a handkerchief celebrating the first hot air balloon launch, etc.).  It's a bit scanty now, but I wanted to get it out of the drafts folder before I forgot it existed! As always, the post will be expanded as I come across more information. Edit 11/24 : Now with an excellent video on cold-weather clothing! General information     Colonial Williamsburg. A Young Person's Introduction to 18th-Century Western Fashion

This is an unexpurgated version of a Tumblr post which had to be cut for length.  It was intended to be for those just getting into the subject, or those looking for more on a specific topic.  Unfortunately, it really doesn't treat fashion outside of Britain, France, and their colonies, but for Anglophone readers, I think it's a good starting resource!
